Hello, again, all of my wonderful readers, family, friends, stans, and stalkers! :) I know, I know. It’s been a while & I’ve missed you terribly. I took a much needed hiatus from YataYataYata to reflect and re-route my path to success and fulfillment. I appreciate all of the love and support Tumblr users and blog readers have given me. You have no idea. This platform has given me the opportunity to create my own lane, experiment, and express myself more freely than ever. But guess what? Your favorite blog is back, bigger than ever, and moving to a moving to a deluxe apartment in the skies, honey! The new site will be everything you’ve loved about YataYataYata the Tumblr for the past year and some change - just tweaked, twerked, cleaned up, and maybe even a liiiitttlle bit turnt up! ;) But before I pack my bags, there are a few “little people” I’d like to stand on my soapbox and thank:

First, I’d like to say thank you to John & Sheila, my good ‘ol parents, for  being able to reproduce, creating what is arguably the best thing that ever happened to them, and giving me the love and push (or occasional SHOVE haha) I need to succeed. Thank you to both Granny Shirley & Mary, my brother Quincy and his wife Lorri, and the entire McMichel/Crenshaw/Mack/Dickerson/Mayes family for the constant support. RIP Uncle Donald, Grand-Daddy, Uncle Charles, Josh, and the rest of my fallen angels.

Thank you with ALL of my heart to Beyoncé (my hero), Wendy Williams, Oprah, Angie Martinez, Tyra Banks, Miss Honey B, Ricki Lake, Necole Bitchie, Demetria Lucas, Angel Laws, and Natasha Eubanks for the Atlantic Ocean-sized inspiration you’ve been for me, both professionally and personally. You’ve paved the way for me and set the tone for the damage I know I’m capable of doing to this industry :) I am absolutely NOTHING without you ladies. Thank you!

Thank you to IPS School #114, Shortridge Middle School, Broad Ripple High School, and Clark Atlanta University for molding me and allowing me to grow. Thank you IUPUI and IU School of Journalism for welcoming me with open arms.

This section of people is verrrry special. Bear hugs and wet ( #pause ) kisses are due to my peers (brace yourself) Nia, Shea, Kenya, Cami, Keierica, Ty, KK, Monique, Mercedes, Brittany, Miss Tonya, two different Jasmines, Jameel, Ryan, Suavie, Kiyonna, Jordan, Chase & Juego of #9BMC, Siergio, Darius, Christian, Jacoby, Chasidi, Sheldon, Damen, Morgan, and Kelli. You guys have all inspired, encouraged, and been riders for YataYataYata since the beginning. I appreciate that more than you will ever understand. The support from you all has, at times, kept me from quitting. I also want to send a special RIP to GiGi. She had big dreams and I want to live out mine in her honor.

Thank you to the guys who have put smiles and smirks on my face, a perk in my step (mmhmm), and heartache in my heart. Three in particular have been the inspiration behind my best work – The Diary Series – and have garnered the most traffic on my site. Thank you for respecting my art, and not killing me for the exploitation! LOL! Sorry? ;)

Edgar and Devon – I OWE YOU. This is a HUGE step in my life, and without your expertise, none of it would be possible. If I haven’t told you 20 billion zillion times already, gracias, thank you, alllllladat!

What she fails to realize while she croaked that beautiful line out of my iTunes is that I’m very familiar with that. I love, Love, LOVE this interview that The Breakfast Club did with Ariane from Love & Hip Hop Atlanta. I think she is the FIRST guest to completely divide and conquer Charlamagne! It was brilliant! Honey, Ariane must have said to herself “VH1 only wanna show me rubbin’ MiMi’s back!
